Birthday Fun

Things are getting real exciting around these parts. This week we had a "practice run" with our lil' dude. Thought he was going to make his first appearance into the world this week, but alas he's quite content in his little home and just letting Mama getting some good practice before the big day.

Also had my 29th birthday this week! Looks like the lil' dude and I won't be sharing the same birthday,  but perhaps he'll still be a March baby.  Not a milestone birthday for me by any means, but did make me think how close I am to leaving my 20s behind. Someone asked me how it felt to be 29 and I said that it feels neat and all, but I don't feel like I'm as much of an adult as I thought I would feel by this point. Then again, I may never truly feel like an adult . . . I'm a goofy gal at heart. Went to a lovely Italian restaurant called Fritto Misto in Hermosa Beach and had a yummy lasagna with a turkey bolognese sauce and D got me a fabulous red velvet cake from a local bakery in Torrance. So moist and the frosting was just sweet enough without being too heavy.

On a side note, D and I watched the movie Role Models with Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott (aka Stiffler) and we've been quoting the movie all week. To me, its one of those movies that isn't super great but I still get a huge kick out of it every time I watch it. Anyway, one of the characters in the movie is obsessed with KISS and the song "Love Gun" is played throughout the movie. This silly song has been stuck in my head for most of the week. Kind of a ridiculous song to have stuck in your head, while you're lying in bed having contractions to give birth for the first time. Like I said, I'm a goofy gal at heart. Here's the song, in case your curious:

Hope you have a rockin' Friday!!
