Beautifying

I'm ashamed to say that I have not had my hair cut in months. And when I say months, I mean more than three and my locks are not looking up to their usual peppiness.  I have been very hesitant about getting my hair done down here, because well, back in Bay Area, my hair was cut by a dear friend of mine.  Now that I don’t have her hair advice/expertise to rely on, I’m finding myself having to take a more active role in what to do with my hair.  Usually I would give my friend a couple of guidelines, and then let her have at it!  However, I decided earlier this week to take the plunge and I made a hair appointment for myself for this weekend.  I researched a bunch on Yelp and decided upon the Ultra Lux Salon & Lounge.  The salon looks fun, got rave reviews on Yelp, is an Aveda salon, and I feel ready for a beauty adventure.  It’s definitely not a conservative place, but I’m in desperate need for a new look, and maybe even an adventurous (yet still professional) one!  I’ll report back on how it turns out next week.
